I love this painting I'm doing. It's a high contrast portrait of
Twiggy.
I put in all my time and effort. This is the painting I did in straight 12 hours.
The teacher praised me saying I did a good job, I have a lot of
talent and
potential, and he says
that is the reason why he will push me harder and further. I took that as a
compliment and I know I should be flattered but he is acting like a
straight out jerk to me now. He criticises in such a
demeaning way, and I could only feel so
worthless. Seriously, I KNOW what's a constructive comment and what isn't.
What I dislike about him is that he will criticise your work and tell you you should change something.
BUT he doesn't tell me how to change it, but he helps other students when
they have difficulties. Then,
when I do something wrong, he
actually swears and
starts raising his voice at me. Then he'd
grab my paintbrush
out of my hands and paint for me.
I was offended. That is just plain
RUDE and it isn't even his OWN painting. I know
he's trying to help me, but
I felt like he lacked respect towards me. Then, he'd tell me to change something
in his manner.
I do it and he approves a bit. Later, he'd pass by and say '
who told you to do that?' and I'd have a
WTF-look on my face. Then he disapproves and tells me to
change it again. I get so angry sometimes.
[LEFT] This is the way
I did it. I did the iris green and the pupil was a dark fuschia to make the eyes stand out. And I added a thin like to separate the lips and make them look more defined,
because the teacher told me to do it. Because before, the lines weren't there and it just looked like big fat lips to him. So I did what he told me,
and he tells me to take it off now. FUCK MAN.
[RIGHT] He told me to take off the purple in the pupil and put
pink. Fuck she looks like something striked her right in the face. As for the lips, I left the lines there.
I hope this will be over soon. :)
